| 1.30 | Board yellow bus and travel to bandstand | |
| 2.00 pm until whenever | Arrive at Bandstand | Stay in area near bandstand, play table tennis, listen to music and swim if you like Public loos available, and one very restricted access one in Salim’s place under the bandstand. He doesn’t want people to use it! |
- Bring a bottle of water, sunscreen and a hat or umbrella – it may be hot (predicted 20C) . There will be seating available for the elderly and frail at the burial ground.
- At the bandstand there will be a Champagne reception, finger food, cucumber sandwiches lemon tarts and chocolate brownies and Margaret Whyman’s home made lemonade, made by Hannah. There are many local places to get more substantial meals like fish and chips or vegan alternatives…
- Tea and coffee available at the bandstand café and there are public toilets going towards the Lawns.
- Bring your swimsuit if you want to swim, Sybil loved swimming, pétanque and table tennis all three available on the beach.
- If you are like Ros (with a low blood sugar) eat a big breakfast, or bring a snack as we will have last until about 2pm for light refreshments at the bandstand (see above)
